On September 16, 2008 The State Bank of Vietnam issued Decision No. 2037/QĐ-NHNN to approve My Xuyen rural commercial joint-stock bank (MXBank)’s operational model as to urban bank.

This is the milestone to mark the whole change of MXBank together with the plan of operational branch network development to expand nationwide and implement fully professional activities of one commercial bank based on credit investment promotion in fields of agriculture – rural and small and medium enterprises size.

MXBank has been equipped enough necessary conditions in order to accelerate strongly its next phase (the phase after transforming from rural bank into urban bank). MXBank’s objective is to strive to become one of the leading retail banks in Vietnam in sectors of financial investment to agriculture – rural.
